Ski Beatz produced the majority of Camp Lo’s classic debut album Uptown Saturday Night (including the seminal hit “Luchini”), and has a history with the group dating back nearly two decades. Recently, Sonny Cheeba, Geechi Suede, and Ski sat down to discuss their creative process, chemistry, and musical evolution from the 90s to 2014. On July 30th, pioneering hip-hop producer/DJ Pete Rock and seminal Bronx duo Camp Lo will release their second collaborative effort, 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s Pt. II, the follow-up to their 2011 mixtape of the same name. The tape will feature a handful of guests, including Talib Kweli, Ab-Soul and Uncle Murda.
